About Mediafreaks
[Mediafreaks] http://www.media-freaks.com is an animation production company based in Singapore. Their core areas of focus are in animation production for documentaries, animated TVCs and medical visualization. Mediafreaks has established a reputation for being able to work closely with producers, distributors, broadcasters and partners worldwide to produce original television content and high-end animation for broadcast and marketing purposes. Mediafreaks focuses mainly on providing service work and its sister companies Mediafreaks Cartoon and Character Farm create their own original animated content for export into the international market for broadcast and licensing.The company has offices in both Singapore and China, housing about 40 creative personnel.
In the Beginning
Founded in 2003 by Aldric Chang and another partner, Mediafreaks has since produced hundreds of projects spanning from animated cartoon series to television commercials to CGI for documentaries to medical and architectural visualization work. From a two-person team Mediafreaks now houses close to 40 staff in Singapore and China offices.
Original Cartoon Series
Mediafreaks's content creation sister companies - Character Farm and Mediafreaks Cartoon - are noted for their talents to create exceptionally cute and original characters.
To date, Character Farm has produced [Katakune] http://www.katakune.com - a 520 minute 3D animated preschooler series which has sold to the USA, China , MiddleEast, Taiwan and Thailand . It is currently being distributed in North America, Europe and Southeast Asia with licensing programs being rolled out for Pan China, Japan and Korea.
Mediafreaks Cartoon has embarked on the production of its first two intellectual properties – [Sedo Dog] http://www.sedodog.com and The Gogo Squad, both original concepts created by Mediafreaks Cartoon.
Characters from Katakune and Sedo Dog have also been licensed by a major Japanese telecommunications company to appear as 3D 'live-in' characters in their handsets.
