Q. An applicants information only points to their CGPortfolio and that doesn't contain contact info. How do I get in touch with them?
A. You can leave a message in their guestbook. An email will be sent to the CGPortfolio owner with your message.
Q. Is there a way to get more than 4 logos uploaded? We have many studios and would like to be able to upload a studio specific logo for each.
A. There are two methods;
- Create separate accounts for the studios in question OR
- Create a draft advert, load it with any logo as per Step Two Edit Job Ad - the job ad will retain the logo even if the logo is deleted via your profile.
Q. I want to change something in my Job Ad
A. Job Ads can be edited for up to 72 hours after posting. After 72 hours the ad is locked and cannot be edited.
Q. Can I place a job ad seeking applications for multiple positions?
A. Yes and No.
Yes this is acceptable if you are seeking multiple people for exactly the same (or very similar) role.
In all other cases it is not allowed. As CGJobs will only allow one industry / occupation classification per job ad, ads that try to seek dis-similar roles in the one will have poor reach and response.
Q. What is a 'Run of Site Feature'?
A. This means that the Feature Image you upload for the job ad will display in equal rotation with all other Feature advertisers on 85% of the pages in CGJobs - all pages that have a URL like cgjobs.cgsociety.org/...
We are also implementing non-guaranteed display through the rest of the CGSociety/CGTalk site to use spare ad space capacity.
We do not guarantee a certain number of impressions as we will need a few more months of activity to gather statistics.
When a user clicks on your Feature Image they are taken to your linked job ad.
Q. What is a 'Home Page Feature'?
A. Your Feature Image will display on the CGJobs Home Page in equal rotation with all other Feature advertisers.
Jobs ads that are supported by a Home Page Feature get about 2.5 times the view rate of non featured job ads.
We do not guarantee a certain number of impressions as we will need a few more months of activity to gather statistics.
Q. How do I get a copy of our Invoices?
A. Login to your account as usual. From the CGJobs home page select My Account and scroll to bottom, under View Invoices you will be able to view and print your invoices.
Q. Can I use the same email address for both a normal CGSociety User/CGJobs Job Seeker account and a CGJobs Employer account?
A. Yes BUT you shouldn't.
Many employers share the CGJobs Employer account login details with other employees that need access to post jobs and review applications. If you use the same email address for all your CGSociety accounts those employees that you share a login with will have access to your personal CGPortfolio and any job applications that you have made.
We strongly recommend that as a CGJobs Employer you create a completely new account.
Q. Can I use HTML in job postings?
A. Yes simple HTML is recommended to make your ad easier to read and increase response rates.
You can use bold, italics, underline, font sizing/color, lists etc. An easier way to do this is to use a simple HTML editor to draft your ad on your desktop and then cut and paste the source into your ad description.
We will be embedding a HTML editor into CGJobs in the future.
