Trivia
- The Blender community pet is a female monkey called Suzanne, it/she is one of Blender´s primitives and has her own Wikipedia page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzanne_%28Blender_primitive%29
- The concept behind the Blender Logo is the coordination of hand and sight, thus the logo resembles an open hand with an eye on the center.
- Untill version 2.25 Blender was a commercial closed-source program sold by the Dutch company "Not a Number (NaN)". Blender 2.26 was the first open source version and came out about one year after 2.25 was released and NaN went into bankruptcy.
- The first accolade of Blender into a Hollywood high budget movie was on the movie "Spider-Man 2 (2004)", for wich the animatics where done by Anthony Zierhut using Blender 2.28. The fact is documented on the book "Caught in the Web: Dreaming Up the World of Spider-Man 2".
