Bidirectional reflectance distribution function
The bidirectional reflectance distribution function or BRDF of a surface describes the fraction of the radiance reflected from the surface in an outgoing direction Ωe due to the irradiance arriving at the surface from an incoming direction Ωi, and is normally denoted
